Hey nil - unfortunately, in the directions you say to replace the Halo .exe file by renaming it HaloUB. I already have a HaloUB file in the Contents>MacOS folder from the 2.04 patch. Should I just replace the HaloUB .exe with the one in the download? The Mavericks patch in there shows a 5/15/14 creation date (maybe that's because I had to reinstall Halo and then patch it. Help would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you have applied the mavericks patch before all you need to do is replace the mavericks_patch file. HaloUB (around 8 MB) should be the original game executable. The Halo startup executable I provided has not really changed since the Mav patch.

So the Mavericks patch is the one that fixes the lobby? I did a direct IP to one of the servers running the new Halo software and man is it laggy as hell! Any ideas on a Mac version of the updated Halo?

Unfortunately I run a PPC based Mac. This is subject to change though in the coming months.

Mac patch for the new lobby Empty Patch not working in OSX 10.6.8

Hi,
I updated to 2.0.4 and tried the patch but the application fails to launch.
Is there version of the Lobby update which does not include the Mavericks component?

I get this:

Exception Type:  EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV)
Exception Codes: KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS at 0xfffffffffffffff8
Crashed Thread:  Unknown

Backtrace not available

Unknown thread crashed with X86 Thread State (64-bit):

I updated it. Try downloading the patch again. I was accidentally not compiling for older OS's.

I will take a look into PPC, just a little pain since I don't have access to one currently.

Yes I put the lobby patch alongside with the Mav one. Not sure if Macsoft is still alive, so not sure about an official update happening.

I have now tried all 3 patches, each with a new installation of Halo. Every time Halo launches it quits suddenly leaving the message "Halo has quit unexpectedly". I have a Macbook Pro 2.6 Ghz Intel Core i7 with OS X 10.9.2. Any clue to what may cause this? Thank you.

Hey Pash - He just uploaded a new Halo .exe file (the 8Mb one) and that should give you the new lobby (looks like the old one) and let you boot up Halo. Make sure you keep your old one in the folder though. The instructions say to rename the 8Mb one to Halo-old. Hopefully you can start the game. Mine is so laggy and slow it isn't worth playing...

Yes, version 2.04. I have reinstalled Halo every time I tried the patch. Halo works in the old version before using the new patch, but the moment I install it Halo quits immediately upon launching.
